SOFT ENAMEL PIN PRICING

Soft Enamel pins are the most popular type of custom lapel pin out there. There are a number of reasons for this including the fact that they are one of the more affordable types of enamel pins. Another popular feature is the interesting texture made by the recessed color channels. These color channels are created by the die striking process during manufacturing. The recessed areas are later filled with enamel using special syringes. After the coloring process, the pins are then baked in ovens at high temperatures which gives the enamel it’s glossy, protective finish.

HARD ENAMEL PIN PRICING

Hard enamel pins, also called cloisonné pins, have a smooth, jewelry-like finish that sets them apart from other types of custom pins. The colors are more radiant than other types of pins as the enamel is mixed with resin that hardens when they are cured by baking them at high temperatures. Since each color is overfilled, they are then polished down so that they have a flat surface. Then, after polishing, they are electroplated with the metal of your choice.

DIE STRUCK PIN PRICING

Die struck pins are also referred to as “bare metal pins” or “colorless pins” because of their inherent lack of enamel coloring. They are created by striking a base metal, usually consisting of either iron, brass or a zinc alloy, using a cylindrical die (aka mold). Afterwards, they are plated with the metal of your choice. Because there is no coloring process, the turnaround time is significantly shorter than that of their enamel counterparts. Since they’re colorless, they have a classic look that matches any color of attire.

SILKSCREEN PIN PRICING

Silkscreen pins, are a fantastic option if you are looking for enamel pins with clean, crisp detailing. Since the color is printed onto the surface of the pin, there is no need for metal borders to separate it from other colors. This makes it ideal for branding and fine details. One thing to note is that the silkscreened color can scratch off due to normal wear and tear, and are therefore less durable than soft and hard enamel pins. Avoid putting them in your pockets or attaching them to something that is likely to come in contact with other objects.
